Technology is constantly evolving, and with it comes new and improved ways to improve industrial cyclones. Recent technological advancements have led to better and more efficient industrial cyclones that help plant companies save time and money.
One of the most critical advancements in industrial cyclone technology has been the development of high-efficiency sensors.
New Cyclone Technology
Sensors in the impact panels are a new technology developed by CTI for industrial cyclones. These sensors are located in the apex, which is the lower part of the cyclone where it discharges. Their purpose is to measure the thickness of the lining in the apex. If the lining becomes too thin, it can indicate that the cyclone is overloaded and needs to be cleaned.
Plant managers can use this information to optimize the cleaning schedule for the cyclone. It can also help to prevent damage to the cyclone from overloading.
The use of intelligent controllers and sensors in industrial cyclones is a relatively new development, but it promises to make them even more efficient and effective. By automating the airflow and particle separation settings, these controllers can help to ensure that the cyclone operates at its optimal performance level. This, in turn, leads to cleaner air streams and significant savings in terms of energy usage and filter replacement costs.
Why Choose CTI-X7® Technology?
Ceramic Technology Inc. (CTI) recently redesigned the 40-inch diameter cyclone to improve wear relating to impact abrasion on the centerline of the inlet head. The cyclone features carbon steel housing and aluminum oxide ceramic throughout the inlet head, body, lower cones, and apex.
The 7-piece cyclone can be broken apart for assembly, and it supports 24/7 rapid-wear replacement parts and maintenance schedules. CTI provides delivery anywhere around three weeks, but not more than six weeks.
There is an option to upgrade to reaction-bonding silicone for the lower cone lines and the apex.
Benefits of CTI-X7® Cyclones
- Rapid response and redesign
- Reaction bonding silicone carbide parts are available
- CTI improved shrouds arrangement in the design
- CTI improved the overflow and underflow impact boxes in the design
- Better operational performance with improved maintenance cost
By employing territory sales engineers, we strive to support your onsite managers by advising the best path forward into a progressive pattern of improved maintenance. We strive for timely quotes and deliveries of CTI-X7® parts and fabrication, averaging 4-6 weeks shipping. We can also expedite delivery at the manager’s request.
